Religion?

Do I believe in a higher power?  Yes

Do I believe something happens to us when we die?  Yes, I believe our souls and our karma carries on to another realm.  If our souls have not completed their "task" here in the physical realm, they will be reborn in order to fulfill that need.

Not saying I believe in reincarnation per-se, but I do believe our souls can come back in another form. It may even be decades and generations later, but we can be reborn (hence, past life visions, readings).

I feel like I take a bunch of things from a bunch of different religions and mash them together in a big pot.  I like learning new things about different religions and am open to all religions.

However, in a sense, that makes me feel lost and empty - not having a distinct spiritual path to follow or guidance to rely on.  I am too skeptical which I will explain more later.

I do believe that spirits stay with us.  Its usually someone we are connected to somehow or someone we know.  But it is possible to have a spirit follow you from a specific place or thing (house you grew up in, old objects, place you visit often) that you don't know in this physical life.  Someone we love in the physical world will certainly follow us when they are in the spiritual world (family, friend, etc.)

I am too skeptical about the bible and Christianity in general - that is the religion of my culture and family.  There aren't many religious people in my life, but there aren't many different religions in my community.  It's basically Christianity/Catholicism.  Neither which I agree with completely, regardless of my Protestant upbringing.

My problem with Christianity is that there are too many loopholes.  The bible was written by MEN who say God came to them and told them to write the bible.  Well, in that case, God came to me last night and told me to do naked kartwheels down my road.  Not to mention the rules and regulations of being a "good Christian/Catholic."  I'm sure these things wouldn't be such a big deal if people didn't distort them and turn them into weapons against society (i.e. gay marriage)

I would like to learn more about Buddhism and Paganism and Taoism.

I am using this blog in order to track my spiritual journey.  It is a way to track my intuitive progress and my spiritual discoveries.
